Hi, I’m Peta!

Counsellor, Level 2 & 3 Suport Coordination and Key Worker

I’m based in Northern NSW and the founder of Grounded Coordination & Support. I am an experienced r egistered Counsellor, Specialist Support Coordinator and Key Worker. I hold a Bachelor of Legal Justice studies and a Diploma in Counselling.

With more than 15 years’ experience in case management, I have worked across youth justice and the NDIS, supporting individuals and families to access appropriate supports and navigate complex service systems with confidence.

I  have extensive experience supporting individuals and families impacted by a wide range of complex and neurological conditions. This includes working with people with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injuries, epilepsy, quadriplegia, Dravet Syndrome, diabetes, and other neurological or medical conditions affecting cognition, behaviour, mobility, and daily functioning. I have also supported children and families navigating PANDAS (Paediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal infections), where presentations can include sudden behavioural changes, anxiety, OCD, and emotional dysregulation.

I specialise in working with complex families and vulnerable individuals, including those impacted by homelessness, domestic and family violence, substance misuse, trauma, and psychosocial challenges. I provide compassionate, trauma-informed therapeutic support to children, young people, and families, with a strong focus on safety, empowerment, and long term stability

Level 2 & 3 Suport Coordination and

 Key Worker

I’m a skilled Specialist Support Coordinator and Key Worker with Grounded Coordination and Supports, based on the Southern Gold Coast, with over 15 years of experience in case management and the past 5 years working within the NDIS.

I hold a Bachelor of Social Sciences (majoring in Counselling and Human Services) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Developmental Trauma. My professional background spans Child Safety, Youth Justice, Education Queensland, and Currumbin Special School, where I supported children, young people, and families with complex and high-level needs.

I bring a strong trauma-informed approach to my work and am highly experienced in using NDIS language to advocate effectively for participants. I support individuals and families to navigate complex systems, build capacity, and access the supports they need in a way that is empowering and respectful.

I’m passionate about delivering compassionate, strengths-based support that places the participant at the centre, ensuring their voice, choice, and control are upheld while working towards meaningful outcomes.

Hi, I’m Nicci!

AASW Social Worker

I’m a qualified Social Worker with extensive experience supporting children, young people, and adults with complex needs across youth, disability, justice, and community services.

My professional background includes intensive case management where I supported highly vulnerable and at-risk young people experiencing complex trauma, behavioural challenges, family breakdown, mental health concerns, disengagement from education, and involvement with statutory systems including Child Safety. I have significant experience working with young people aged 12–21 and supporting them to improve emotional regulation, independence, community engagement, and long-term wellbeing outcomes.

I have also facilitated therapeutic and skill-building group programs, including Girls With a Purpose, focused on empowerment, emotional wellbeing, self-esteem, healthy relationships, and social connection for young women facing complex life challenges.

I provide therapeutic support and professional report writing, with particular experience working alongside individuals with disabilities, autistic people, and those who have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences. My approach is trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and person-centred, ensuring every individual feels safe, respected, and genuinely supported.

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with individuals and families navigating a range of social, emotional, behavioural, and environmental challenges. I also work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, allied health professionals, Child Safety, Youth Justice, and community services to create consistent and meaningful support networks around each person.

I take a holistic, strengths-based approach and am passionate about empowering people to build confidence, develop practical life skills, strengthen relationships, and achieve their goals while advocating for choice, autonomy, and improved quality of life within the NDIS and broader support systems.

My focus is always on building genuine, trusting relationships and providing compassionate, practical, and flexible support tailored to each person’s unique needs.
